New North Library, located in Minneapolis is a competition winner for a new civic building.

A space to promote creativity, open mindedness, research, out of the box thinking, and imagination that can touch the sky; the new north library embodies the emotionality of this vision through a design that leaves no space for conventional thinking and opens all the boundaries for greatest discoveries.

A shape with no real beginning and no real end, where the floor can be roof and the wall can be floor, where there is enclosure without boundaries,  or where there are no boundaries within an enclosure; the answer is within the uniqueness in the eye of the beholder, the same individual who will strive for  distinctive and discriminating answers as result of any analytical process.

Paolo Volpis applies a coherent set of ideas in different ways. Every project sets apart from the rest for its integrity and conceptualization, and promotes sophisticated ideas broken down by simple and logical thinking; an enjoyable and poetic problem solving process streamlined into shapes and forms born from pure rational thinking.
