Architectural sections are the most meaningful drawings that can really delineate the spatial value of a building.
Sometimes they are the byproduct of a floor plan, and sometimes they are part of the spatial planning.
At our firm we design keeping in mind the spatial intercommuting between floors and search for additional tridimensional experiences when they present. The sequencing through a space that provides an experience full of surprises with changes in height, a peekaboo view or an unexpected natural light source coming from an apparently irrational spot, make the interior architecture experience somehow magic.
Interesting enough, sometime the best sections and experiences are initially produced by accident or a response for the necessity for structural means or mechanical equipment. Either way, when they work with the building program, they turn out to be a fantastic source of visual entertainment.
